Hi. I'm, out of doubt, the only french guy who following the Spooksville TV series (sorry for my bad English). When I was 12 years old, I loved Pike's books… I was a big fan of horror books, like that Goosebumps or Spooksville… Now, I prefer King of course, but this novels have marked my teenage. So, when I discovered that a series on the Spooksville's theme existed, I watched the first episode, and the second, the third… and all the season 1 ! I'm pleasantly surprised by this TV series ! The actors are good, the ambiance is faithful, the action takes place during our days (it's a good thing, it "refreshes" the series), we have a great suspense…<br/><br/>The only flaw is that, sometimes, the special effects are a little low… But the main "flaw" (it's not really a flaw, it's me, in fact^^) is that the stories are, sometimes, for little children's. It's normal, I'm an old fan, I'm 18. And, often, stories are entirely appreciable by an adult ! ;)<br/><br/>No, the only, the most important, the REAL flaw of Spooksville is… no VOSTFR ! It's a good series ! In France, we have lot of crap at TV, Spooksville is good, give to us Spooksville ! :) I'm sure that there is a market and a place for Spooksville in France. The children's wants to dream, and Spooksville succeeds to do that… This show is annoying! I can understand changing stories to fit modern times/budget/whatever, but I can't stand taking all of the various characters & blending them into Adam! Why even have the other characters in the show at all if you never use them properly? They're either there to be saved by Adam or watch him save the day. Phone Fear had Watch originally saving everyone & now it's Adam. It seems like any story is now tailored to have Adam as the hero. & it's annoying! Let the other characters have their turn in the spotlight. I hope that this show gets better. Although, I'm not hopeful that it will actually happen. Shows that aren't based on a book are horrible. The ones that are based on a book they change & make them horrible, too. I had such high hopes for this series, but I'm disappointed with each episode.
